Phoebe Lynch Ethos: AP Packet week 3

Would you want this man to coach your son's flag football team?
Joe Paterno coached Penn State football for 62 years and was head coach for 45 years. He has 409 career wins and the most bowl wins for a division 1 coach. He coached Penn State for 5 undefeated seasons and forty winning seasons. Paterno had two national championships while coaching Penn State and is a member of the College Football Hall of fame. He also received 5 coach of the year awards and coached over 250 NFL players. Seems like he'd be capable of teaching your little one a thing or two about football, right?
Think again.
In 2011 a grand jury report is released, which states that Penn State Defensive Coordinator, Jerry Sandusky  sexually abused eight boys over a fifteen year period on or near campus. The report also includes testimonies stating that several school administrators, including Joe Paterno, knew of these allegations long before this report came out and that all of them had failed to notify police.
Joe Paterno definitely knows a thing or two about football and was a great coach. I mean just take a look at his records. However, he puts winning in front of the well being of innocent children. (a great trait in a father of five, right?)
