How to Post
- Start a few days before your due date by reflecting, brainstorming, outlining, and writing. Do this in Word (or some other word processing application) that you can save.
- Find places on the web you'll link to from your post.
- Find images or create visuals you'll want to use in your post.
- The night before or the morning of the day your post is due, log into your SHC Google Apps account; go to the dashboard and select "Blogger."
- Add a new Post. Be sure to add title, copy/paste your text, format the text, add images, quotes, tables, visual elements, etc. Save periodically as you work!
- Ensure that you've adhered to all of our Blogging guidelines.
- Test your post using the Preview button.
- Click "Publish" once you are done.
- Monitor your post for comments, and be sure to reply to each comment.
- If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask (just don't wait until the last minute to ask your questions!)
**Keep in mind, this is a new activity for many, if not all, of us. Our blogging will improve as we move throughout the year.
How to Comment
Commenting is a part of blogging, and part of your assignment. Without comments, there is no conversation. Be sure to review the Commenting for Blogs Guidelines before you start commenting.
